Both are about the same thing, digging up something buried, something valuable, something that has been underneath the surface this whole time.
One does it with passion and hunger (Scorpio). The other does it with cold mechanical (Gemini) precision. A truth gets extracted, something that was buried comes up. Something someone has been sitting on for months finally comes up and breaks the surface. The plot twist to this is that Scorpio wants this to be about emotion, loyalty, and depth.
